Chandra Darshan is the first day of lunar eclipse after Amavasya (new moon day). This special day called Chandra Darshan is celebrated by seeing the moon coming the day after the Darshan of Chandra. Seeing the moon as soon as the sun sets that day is considered very unique. Those who see the moon during moon sighting believe that the lord moon will bless them with good luck.

It is believed that those who observe this festival will not be short of riches. Hindus fast every day. Worship is done after seeing the moon. Only then finish fasting and eat anything.
